2018 High School Graduation Speech - Ready for Life's Challenges

by Jane

Principal Horton, Honored Guests, Graduates and Families

Let me congratulate the Class of 2018. You have graduated - how amazing!

Graduation is a fitting tribute to all of you. You all know all too well that the path to graduation is not smooth, the past few years will have had their struggles. Endless revision, frustrating times when you did not understand, class papers, homework and ever more topics to learn. Perhaps this is one way to view your school years. I do not see them this way.

Your opportunity has been to create an amazing, vibrant future for yourselves by getting ready for all life's challenges. I really do believe that preparing for life is the ultimate way forward.

You have proved you really can focus, dedicate yourselves and work very hard in an intelligent way. You have built up a huge personal skills bank - not least the ability to learn anything. You have identified and maximized your individual talents, which give you the ability decide where you can be at your best in the future. The Class of 2018 contains experts in Math, Language, French, English, Science, Art, Crafts, History and Geography, to name a few subjects. The success you have worked hard to create will propel you forward to new heights. You now have the mental strength to deal with really challenging times.

I like the quote "Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts." by Winston Churchill.

I understand from your teachers that you are a close knit, fun loving group who support, help and have great times together. I admire your charity work in particular.

I wish to pay tribute to your teachers. They have a great curriculum issued by the Government. But then they really get to work to make sure it fits your class and you as individuals. They have a depth of knowledge and ability to educate that is world class. Following their advice has benefited you all too.

I look out and see your very happy families who all look so proud. I know all your love and support will have given your children a strong base from which to fearlessly tackle all challenges.

You will notice I have made no mention of economic or environmental circumstances. Great teaching and dedicated students pay me need to circumstance. Just work hard and follow your teachers advice may not seem like a great discovery but it is world changing.

So. Congratulations once again Class of 2018.

As you leave school you all face your own challenges, but you are ready for them. You know how to learn, take advice, work hard and must now use your enormous skills bank to bravely tackle all your future challenges. Many are going to college and others on to start their careers. No matter what you do know you are ready for it. Believe in yourself and confidently go forward.

Good Luck

2018 Valedictorian Graduation Speech Ready for Life's Challenges

by Jane

Principal Herns, Honored Guests, Fellow Graduates and Families

To all our Class of 2018 let me congratulate our group.

I am proud and privileged to belong to this class. Although our path through education these past few years has not all been smooth, it has brought us here today proud of our achievements and completely ready to take on all our challenges in the future. A brief look back at our time here really does make me feel both proud and sad it is over. I was asked to speak as class Valedictorian. However it only took a few seconds as I wrote the speech for me to become enthused about how getting to graduation has been a collective effort. No one succeeds or can face life's challenges alone. Being ready for the future includes having friends, mentors, teachers, family and support when you need it.

Let me thank our teachers. Experts in their field, brilliant at teaching and warm supportive human beings. Their commitment to us brought out the best in us.

Let us thank our families. Love and patience from your family give you the strength to try things out and make mistakes safe in the knowledge that they will support you in your journey to success.

Then therefore our class. Full of fun, personality and mutual support. When things are too serious it is good to laugh. When you are off your game it is good to talk to a true friend. When you want to have fun it is good to have a great crowd. I think I am starting to miss you already.

Our opportunity has been to create an amazing, positive future full of challenges and goals we really do desire. Our passions are uncovered and we go for it. In my case I want to be a Doctor, and I mean I think about that all day.

Let us take stock of what we have gained. We have built up a huge level of skill in our chosen areas. Whether we are science or arts, for example, we have worked hard, dedicated ourselves and put learning first. That level of determination has given us success. We have an almost laser beam focus on the goal and will do what it takes to succeed.

Success breeds success.

So today let us congratulate ourselves and feel justifiably proud.

Of course change is on its way, starting tomorrow. The excitement of challenging times will be here very soon. No matter what we have planned in the future life will have ups and downs, success will be hard to achieve and moving to new places will be tough.

However have faith in our abilities. We have great skills in which to build. We have great friends and family who we can turn to. We know already how to work hard in a determined way. We can learn anything. We also know that new friends and great teachers will be there for us too. We are ready for life's challenges!

Let's get out there and achieve great things.

Thank you for getting in touch. I do not mind how many times you get in touch, I just like to hear from anyone needing help.

To get the best speech I will need as much information as you can give about the class and school, best to build on what they know. Graduates really need to hear about their achievements, special qualities, a funny story and real detail about them and their future. From that strong foundation it is great fun to build in the important inspirational messages. Also include something about the speaker to give real credibility about being very positive about the future.

Let me know what you have.

Parent response

I also encounter hard times of my parenting experience.. i am a bit jealous how close my children to their father

That total of six years when i am with my family is partial i mean my son was only 2 and half yr/old then go home and back overseas and the go home and back for few times and it is hard for a mother to returned home when children recognized you no more....there's emptiness in my life and sometimes i felt regrets from leaving them .....

Can please make it short and meaningful don't know how to organize and don't know which part need not to say...
Thanks

It is a parent response speech from elementary graduating class 2018....
I was tasked by my grade six son to do this speech but honestly i tried to refuse for i felt i am not deserve to give the speech...for i have only short years in my children's side
I mean for 14 years of being a mother of them i counted the years i am with my family-only 6years and 8 years i was away from
Them....
My husband alone raised my children...
So grateful to my husband for he tried his best ti become a father and mother of my kids....
And now am feel so bless by God for He blessed me more than i ask for... i ask only a house...a house that becomes a home for my family and also blessed a small business... a business that help us support enough for our daily needs...and and save some dor future education.
I also feel so blessed for God help us keep our family together...it is God's grace!
As parent we wanted to give the best for our children and but because of our poverty hard to live with an empty stomache cannot affort to children starving...reason i sacrifice my presence to my family...i should have choose to stay but the great demand of needs push me away from my family and now i don't ever leave tthem again as long as God give me life to live
And
Wanted to give sincere thank you for the teacher in this school for the effort and passion teaching well the children
...
And lastly wanted to give an advice to the graduating class and encourage them to aim high and dream big...
For as parent the only best gift we can give to them is the education ... their success in life that no one can steal..
EndingRelease words of blessing

To GOD BE ALL THE GLORY Thank YOU

On behalf of the class of 2018, let me welcome to you all to our graduation ceremony.

We feel honored that you have come to help us celebrate our graduation.

Many of you have been part of lives for many years and it is fitting that you are here today. We thank all of you for all you support and interest. Some of you have traveled far to be here, the effort you have made is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Let add my own congratulations to the graduates here. I have known you all for so long and feel very proud to be part of this class!

We have, I hope, a fitting graduation ceremony lined up with excellent speakers, the presentation itself and some entertainment by the class. Meantime I hope we can create some special memories of a great occasion.

Thank You

Let me know what you think, you might be expected to name some special guests for example, so best check if there are duties to perform here.
