Congratulations to the Class of 2018
Graduating from Junior High is such a huge stepping stone in your education. This point in your lives is very exciting. You have successfully completed the majority of your schooling - you are almost there. There are 2 years to go and you now know exactly what you are going to do to succeed.
I look out and see a group of confident graduates who are entirely ready to face the challenges of your senior school years, and also the challenges you will face beyond school. Let us take stock of just how well prepared you are for life in terms of who you are as people, your educational skills and the supportive team you have around you.
As people you are all grown up now. You know you are responsible for your success. You know how to learn and understand the impact of working very hard to succeed. No one else is to blame for your failures. Your work ethic is excellent. But people are not just about work. You are also about your positive attitude, your interactions with others and of course the fun you have. Even just spending a little time with this class would show anyone what an excellent group of people you are. This is a class that act as a team. Remember being ready for the future includes the quality of advice you have and the people around you.
This school has given you a huge amount. You have been taught and mentored by outstanding teachers. In your chosen fields you have expert teachers on hand. Of course you also have the love and support of your parents. This string base makes us more confident and ready to tackle all out challenges.
You will notice I have made no mention of financial or environmental circumstances. Education is available to everyone. You just need to dedicate yourselves to it.
I believe these past few years of education have made you into a highly educated, positive, responsible class with everything to play for in the future.
Congratulations once again Class of 2018.
Building on your skills bank, your responsible and positive nature and the team around you will give you the most successful senior years.
Of course there will be challenging times. Life will get in the way for some of you. You will not roadblocks as you struggle to understand some areas of learning. And, you will occasionally forget to stick to your hard working ethos. But, you have people around you who will help you through. Listen to your teachers, they have seen it all before. You will get back on track and succeed without a doubt.
I have total faith that this class is completely ready to face life's challenges.
