The First Graduation

Ladies and gentlemen,
My name is Farheen and I would like to share with you some GOLDEN moments of Crescent Town and represent my class which is Mrs. Somers’ class. I think this year’s class was the best class ever! I mean, this is the first class I was in where ALL of us co-operated without caring about our gender and the first class where I could trust every single person in it. I really enjoyed this year.
Finishing elementary school and moving on to middle school is a big thing for us, fifth graders. For many of us, Crescent Town is the only school we have attended, starting here in the fall of 2002 as four year olds. Others may have joined us along the way. But, no matter what year you came in to Crescent Town, you still have the spirit.
Since the day we started, supportive staffs have always been here to guide us. Not only were THEY helpful, but so were our parents.
All of us, fifth graders, have many good memories of life in Crescent Town. Memories of this year would be: writing our own songs with Mike Ford and going to different field trips like Wards Island. Being a prefect to help keep the school safe was also a great honour! The Prefect trip to Green Acres Camp was an AWESOME trip!
For all of my fellow friends who participated on school teams through the years, all I have to say to them is WELL DONE and GO….. COUGARS!
Friendship has been a meaningful part of our life in Crescent Town. Throughout the years, many friendships have been formed. Some will last a long time and others will drift apart. All are still meaningful just the same. As we leave Crescent Town, we take with us a sense of accomplishment, and the spirit of Crescent Town that will continue on with us. I hope all of us, grade 5’s moving onto middle school will always remember each other.
Thank you.
