Follow Your Passion
by: David

There are many angles to take with a wide ranging remit for graduate opportunities.

The opportunities could be in employment, further education, entrepreneurs, involve moving abroad or indeed many other avenues for the future.

It is useful to fully empathise with the graduate’s current thoughts on their likely opportunities and to make a statement on how you see things.

The graduation speech content will clearly depend on the age and grade of the graduates.

An example of a graduation speech could be based on following your passion.

(Formal Opening) Principal (name), Honored Guests (by name).

Congratulations class of 2008.

My graduation speech today is about Graduate Opportunities.

I expect many of you, like myself, are wondering just what to do with ourselves after graduation.

We have learned so much at school.

Thanks to the Principal and teaching staff, tutors for giving us so much. We have everything we need now to go on and succeed.

Thanks to my family for all your love and support. Thanks to my close friends for standing by me through tough times. I am very proud to be your friend.

Now we come to that amazing time of celebration. I hope we all have an amazing party time!

This is also the time when we must separate and go our own way. Please keep in touch, a simple e-mail works wonders!

Looking ahead we stand here today ready to take on the world’s graduate opportunities.

I for one am looking forward to embracing the future.

First off, decide on your PASSION.

What would make you jump out of bed in the morning raring to go?

What is your dream job?

Are you ready to be an entrepreneur?

Do you want to teach?

Perhaps you want to learn more!

Whatever it is you must decide what you really want to be.

If there were ever a time to dare,

To make a difference

To embark on something worth doing

It is now.

Not for any grand cause, necessarily –

But for something that tugs at your hear

Something that is worth your aspiration

Something that is your dream.

You owe it to yourself

To make your days count.

Have fun. Dig deep. Stretch.

Dream big.

Once you have your dream some work is required to make it a reality.

Set a goal for your future based on effective research to make sure you have the right goal.

Next set action steps which will take you, bit at a time towards your goal. You can test progress as you go. This step also makes dreams possible with simple action steps.

Take action, go for it! Persevere and celebrate each success as you go.

The world is full of opportunity and once you decide which one is your passion you will have taken a huge step in securing your future.

If you are to put your heart and soul into something it must be your passion.

Good luck and congratulations to all of you.
