How to Personalize Your Free Printable Graduation Invitations

1. Create a text box that completely covers all the wording you want to replace. NB. If you need to use precision when placing your text box then press CTRL & the Up and Down keys.
2. Enter your own customized wording in the text box.
3. Please note - you can type the names of those you are inviting on each invite and print them separately (or even do a mail merge if your a computer whiz) but if you choose to handwrite those you are inviting on your invitations then I'd recommend a calligraphy set - www.joann.com a lovely "Zig Calligraphy" set.

How to Print your Printable Graduation Invitations

1. Open a word document.
2. Set the printer to the desired paper size.
3. Insert the image.
4. Adjust the margins to zero.
5. Adjust the image to cover the full size of the paper. Do this by clicking on the image and dragging one of the corner arrows.
6. To ensure everything looks just right go to File, Print Preview.
7. Print a "cut to size" test sheet to be certain that the font, font size and placement of your message will be as you desire. Make any necessary adjustments, then print your invitations.

Tip - Mark an X on one side of the test sheet prior to printing. This will help you determine which way up to place the invitation in the printer.

Make Your Own Free Printable Graduation Invitations

There is a very simple process involved in making free graduation printable invitations. There are also advanced techniques which will produce great invites with washed out backgrounds, and lots more!

The simplest process is:

1. Open a new doc in your word processing tool and set up the page size - choose File and Page setup.
2. Now right-click your mouse over the clipart (instructions below) you’d like to use and select “copy”. Now place your curser on the area where you want the clipart to go and right-click and select “paste” to add the clipart to your doc.
3. Lastly, add some text and use some word art as well to personalise it.

Using ths simple process should give you well designed invitations on your PC, ready to print in a short time. I use "Microsoft Word" and "Paint", which you my well have on your PC.

The printable graduation invitation here has a blue frame. You might like another color such as the graduate's favorite colors or school colors.

The clipart symbol used above is a cap. Again, you my wish to choose your own clipart. You could have a graduation scroll or a symbol that really represents the graduate.

Free Printable Graduation Invitations Paper

For a design with a frame and clipart you may want to take the simpler option and use white paper.

The white printer paper that you may well use already is just perfect.

There are lots of printable graduation paper options. That can be low cost printer paper up to expensive textured papers. A simple option is to use cardstock or blank invitation paper. I like to use cardstock.

Colored paper can be excellent where it compliments the design and colors of the invitation.
