Here is a picture of one of the photo invitation graduation with mixed colour and black and white punched shapes. Perhaps I haven't used the best photo to demonstrate this. It is particularly effective if you use a bright and colourful photo.

What You Need
- 1 color photo
- a black and white version of the color photo
- metal ruler
- craft knife
- cutting mat
- 2 small circle punches in varying sizes
- selotape
- PVA glue
- card
I get all my materials from
www.joann.com.
How to Make
You can probably work out from the photo how I made this but I'll describe below anyway:
1) Using the craft knife, cutting mat and metal ruler cut both photos diagonally from corner to corner.
2) Selotape 1 half color photo and 1 half black and white photo together on the wrong side.
3) Proceed to punch several holes in the photo and swap the circles from the color side to the black and white side and vice versa.
4) Use PVA glue applied with a match stick to stick everything to the card.
NB. The party invitation/announcement details could be pre-printed on the back of the card details - check out
invitation etiquette for your photo invitation.

Good luck with your graduation invitations. A photo is the best way to personalise your invites.
