Invitation Etiquette

by Graduate
(USA)

Invitation etiquette question....our graduation open house will be 3 weeks after graduation. Is it okay to enclose the open house invitations in the graduation announcement? My husband wonders if we should send a "reminder" note or make a reminder phone call the week before. I say it would be rude, but we need another opinion. Your help is needed!

Since it is an open house graduation party then it is fine to send invitations with announcements.

To cut down on possible reminders you may want to make it simple for people to reply either accepting or declining the invite.

I would feel happy to do reminders but would do that by making a friendly phonecall.
