• Nothing is nicer than receiving a homemade graduation thank you card
• Remember to send a graduation thank you card to teachers and coaches.
• Completing the card in the graduate's handwriting is the best.
• Use words from the heart to make it special.
• Mention the actual gift and explain how it will be used.
• If the gift is money then do not mention the amount, instead say what it will be used for.
• Try to make it at least 7 lines long.
• You must send them within a month of receiving the gift, preferably within 2 weeks.
• If you met the gift giver at the party then say how great it was to meet them.
• Use quality paper.
You could decorate your paper and personalize it at the same time by printing
a photo, some text and clip art at the bottom of the paper. A bit like the following:
Or maybe something simpler like:
Obviously you’ll need to use your own photo but you could use the other images above by just ”right-clicking” your mouse over the image and selecting “copy” then opening up your work processing tool on your computer e.g. Microsoft word and then “right-click” and choose ”paste”.
Now re-size the document to match your paper or card.
You can also re-size the images by “left-clicking” on the image with your mouse and then moving your mouse to the corner circles until it changes into an arrow. Now while holding the left mouse button, drag the arrow inwards to make the image smaller or outwards to enlarge it.
Next you could either print this out and then hand-write the thank you message on your personalized stationery or you could print the message or verse on your computer using a nice font – as long as it’s a personal message, and then print the final result out.
