Graduation Party Planning Teamwork

by Janet Hughes
(Alabama)

I do like to have a strong plan and use that to guide me through the party. I admit to being very detailed in my approach and work alone in my job. I was not expecting to enjoy being part of a team.
I agreed to be part of the organising committee for our daughters High School graduation party. We met and agreed to scope out our plan. We did that and had enormous fun as a group. The detailed plan was constructed and we all took owner ship for our own areas. I was convinced that the real power of the party would be in the graduation party planning. However a number of unforeseen events led to us all pulling together as a team to resolve the problems and get back on track.
If you can, I recommend that part of your graduation party planning is about building a good team to run it all.
