Clipart Graduation Invitations

The simplest way to enhance the invitations is to use clipart. There may well be excellent clipart images that suit the graduate, their favorite film, favorite character, favorite sport or hobby.

• Copy and paste any graduation clip art image that you would like to use into your word document. Before you paste make sure your cursor is in the location where you want the clip art placed.


• Click on the image and arrows will appear on the corners. Use these arrows to stretch the image to the desired size.


• Then I simply added wordart at the top of the page for a fancy title and added the party details in plain text underneath the graduation clip art.

Salad Bowl

Ingredients:

• 1 Torn iceberg lettuce


• 10 Baby tomatoes, halved


• 1 Chopped cucumber


• Cracked black pepper

When:Should be made on the morning of the party.

Chicken Sizzle Sticks

Now you’ll need a barbeque for this one. If you can get someone to volunteer to go on the barbeque then this is definitely worth it.

Ingredients:

• Soy sauce for marinading


• 1lb of chicken cut into long thin strips (as thin as your butcher can cut them – approx 3 mm)


• ½ cup of tomato sauce


• ½ cup of chilli sauce


• 5 table spoons of lime juice


• 2 table spoons of brown sugar


• Barbeque sticks (wooden ones soaked in water to prevent them burning).

Method:Marinade chicken in soy sauce for at least 2 hours.Mix all other ingredients together to make a sauce.Thread the chicken onto barbeque sticks (bit like a wiggling worm).

Prior to cooking brush some sauce on them.

When:Chicken could be threaded onto sticks the night before and left to marinade over night. Sauce could also be prepared the night before.

How many:You could manage to get about 30 sticks.

Graduation Cake

A simple cake can be prepared. Bake a cake and you can easily frost the cake and add congratulations graduate wording in icing.

Photo Cake

A graduation cake with their photo on it would be fantastic and what's more it is completely edible!

I am afraid you cannot do this yourself though as you need a special printer AND the edible paper AND the edible ink cartridges. Far better to just ask at your local supermarket or cake shop.

There are lots of great games to suit your graduation party idea:

Match of the Year (Suitable for all ages)

This is one of the more appropriate free graduation party games. What you do is try arranging lots of pictures of the grad at various periods throughout his school years on a table. You could turn this into a competition by asking guests to specify which photo belongs to which year.

Memory Game (suitable for all ages)

You can make this game as difficult or as easy as you like depending on age of the children playing it. Arrange several of the graduates possessions on a tray and cover them with a cloth. Give everyone a pencil and a piece of paper. Remove the cloth and give everyone 1 minute to memorize all the objects. Then they have to write down as many of the items as they can remember. The person who remembers most correctly wins.

Cross Dress Relay Game (suitable for all ages)

For this game you need 2 piles of the graduates clothes. You then arrange 2 rows of people. Each person takes it in turn to dress and undress. The boys would put on the female clothes and vice versa.
The team that completes the task first wins.
Obviously you need to get your camera ready for this one.

Scoot Them Away (suitable for all ages)

This is a good one for a back yard party. Simply line up some empty tin cans with photos of the graduate on a wall and knock them off using water pistols.

Pin The Cap On The Graduate (suitable for all ages)

Put a large size picture of the graduate on the wall. Invite the contestants to pin a graduation cap on the picture.

Graduation Hat Pinatta

Pass The Orange (suitable for all ages)

No hands are allowed. The orange is held in your neck using your chin. Arrange teams of 4 to 6. First team to successfully pass their orange from neck to neck is the winner.

Water Balloon Toss

Place a photo o the graduate on a number of balloons and fill them with water. Guests must gently toss the balloons to each other. If the balloon bursts in a guests hands then they are out. Last one remaining in the game should win a prize.

Observation Test

Discretely display various items of graduate memorabilia araound the party venue. Tell guests as they arrive that there will be an observation test. Later in the party give guests either the location and ask them which piece of memorabilia is placed there, or vice versa. Have a prize for the most correct answers.

Guess Who

A few days before the party, disguise various guests as the graduate. Take photos of them which show just enough of their features to guess who they may be. You can make this as hard as you wish. Display the photos on a board and ask guests to guess who the people are.

Stocks and Dunking Booth

You could hire either stocks or a dunking booth. The graduate will need to be up for the challenge of guests throwing wet sponges at them for the stocks or ready to take part in the dunking booth.

What Happened Next

If you have videos of the graduate where there are moments where you could ask guests to guess what happened next you can play the game. The moments could be where the young graduate does something funny and unexpected and they are caught on video. Play the video up to just before the funny moment and aks guests what happened. Have prizes for getting the event right.

Timecapsule

Ask guests to predict the future for the graduate. They will write donw their opinion of where the graduate will be and what they have achieved in say 5, 10 or 15 years. The guesses are buried in a timecapsule and will be recovered at the right time. This graduation party idea will make your guests think.

Graduate Mind Reading

Set up a series of say 5 to 10 questions that guests and graduate will answer. The object of the game is for guests to guess what the graduate will say. Questions could be what they take in their coffee, do they prefer a Porche, Ferrari or Mustang, do they prefer Abba, Whitesnake or Leona Lewis and other questions just like this. The guests can write down what they think the graduate will say. Then the graduate will come into the room and answer the questions out loud. Perhaps you can have a prize for the winner.
