Homemade Kindergarten Graduation Favor Ideas

There are lots of fantastic ideas for making favors for the children and the ones I really like which are the favors the children make at the party.

Plants

Celebrate the growth of your little graduate. Give each little guest a plant to take home on them. They can make the small these favors themselves. You can provide a small plant pot, the earth and some seeds. With a covering for their clothing the kids can make up the plant pots. You can put a sticker on each pot with a sentence on graduation. For example “Ryan’s graduation plant - water me and watch me grow.” Of course the children will require to wash their hands afterwards.

Cookies

The kids can create cookies with a graduation theme. You can use cookie cutters to create all sorts of shapes like dolphins, graduation caps or a tiger, for example. Prepare the cookies in advance. The children can frost the cookies in one of the colors you provide and add candies on top. Wrap them up and each child can take their one home.

Bookmark

You can print out a kindergarten graduation bookmark. Add some graphics like the kindergarten logo, a graduation cap and scroll. Write a congratulations message to each child by name on their bookmark. Print the bookmark onto colored paper, cut out the shape and, if you can, laminate it.

Cupcakes

You can provide the children with a basic cupcake in any flavor they would like. Also give them colored frosting and colored fondant. The children can frost their cupcake and then decorate it. The decorations can be made from fondant and the children can make shapes like graduation caps and scrolls. They may wish to add some candies on top too.

Adults at the party would be thrilled to receive a little memento to take home.

Giving them simple favors like key chains, bookmarks or a framed photo of the graduate is ideal.
