Streamers, like the metallic streamers and gossamer streamers can be really effective. I created a really effective ceiling decoration by draping 4” wide streamers from the ceilings centre to the rooms sides. I used 2 different colors and placed them back-to-back and twisted them – the effect was really stunning.

Gossamer, like the metallic gossamer and the black, purple and blue gossamer, is a dreamlike fabric that comes in an array of colors and patterns and is very reasonably priced. It is ideal for decorating the inside of a tent. Here are some ideas that you can do:
  • It looks fantastic if you braid two colors together and then wrap them around supports and corner posts.
  • One other idea is like with streamers you could attach it to a central point in the ceiling and then drape it out towards the walls.

A homemade option could be to create a mural in the scene you require. If you have an artist friend then you can ask them to create a mural depicting the graduate or the graduate with their family and friends. The mural could be signed by all the guests who can leave a message.

You could also use the mural to create a scene such as a city, Mardi Gras or sports even for example.
