Best Graduation Party Games - Getting to Know You

by Karen
(St. Louis, MO)

One of the best graduation party games:

Type up 10 questions about the grad, make copies, pass out at party for people to answer. Person with most answers could get a prize. If its a family party, some of the extended relatives might get to know the graduate better. Graduate might have to actually talk to some of those aunts and uncles he/she didn't know very well. Generates conversation about the grad and his experiences. Use simple questions as well as story-generating questions. Example: What is his middle name? Where was he born? Where is he going to school next year? Where is he working this summer? What position does he play on sports team? What instrument does he play? How did he break his arm in 5th grade? Who was his favorite teacher and why? What kind of music does he listen to?

Many thanks for sending this in. It is not just a wonderful game but also a real chance to involve the graduate. I do love the games that have a personal element for the graduate!

Team Toss Madness

by Denise Sforza
(Staten Island, NY)

CORN HOLE GAME! Corn hole (or bean bag toss) games are all the rage right now. Get two or three for very large parties. Any age person(s) can team up together and play. Especially fun after a few cocktails or if the participants are very competitive. Winning teams can win a spot in a final face-off. Prizes can be given to the partners of team "Best of the Best!"

Oreo

by Katie

Fun Graduation Party Games - Oreo

For this game you will need as many Oreos as you have people.

First, you tell everyone to place the Oreo on their forehead. The point of the game is to get the Oreo into your own mouth, but there is a trick; you cannot use your hands!

Only by moving your head around or wrinkling your face can you win. It is a difficilt game but it can be won.

Water Carrier

by Jim Spence
(Vancouver)

Set out 2 chairs about 6 to 8 feet apart.

Put a bowl of water on one and 2 glasses on the other. Give the guest a spoon, or for smaller children perhaps a small cup.

The contestants have to use the spoon to fill each glass with water from the bowl.

This is great fun, but can be messy!

We played this outdoors and the kids just loved it. Many of the graduation party games are great at the park, like this one.

Sardines

by Leah Bob
(Ohio!! )

The larger the group, the more fun this will be.

One person is "it," and it flows like a hide-n-seek game. The one person hides, (given ample time while the whole group does not "peek.") Then, each person is the "seeker" and tries to find the hider. Once the person who is hiding is found, the person who found him/her must hide in the same place with the original hider. After a while, there will be many people squeezed in this usually small place, and whoever is last to find the hider(s) is "it" for the next round.

Tips:
1. HAVE BOUNDARIES!! (Such as no hiding in the house/ in cars/trees/etc.)

2. Know how many people are playing, so you can tell when the game is over.

3. Tell the "seekers" to go solo, to make the game more challenging.

4. A good idea: have a whistle, should the game come to an end early, people will not be wandering around wherever, and will be able to come back near the party.

I like silly graduation party games.

Try asking your guests to jump rope with flippers on.

A good diversion!

Drawing Your Graduate Boy or Girl (fun for any age)

by Barbara Peek
(Oklahoma)

Give your Guest a pen or pencil and paper. Have them draw a picture of the Graduate. it should be interesting to see how well your guest can draw him or her. They will have fun looking at these later. Be sure that your guest signs their name so the Grad will know who drew them. Your Grad will want to keep these for a keepsake. Can even give a prize for the best one but keep the younger ones in mind too.
