I have an 8th Grade speech to write. I have 3 minutes and just do not know what to write.

You are all continuing in education which is great. It also helps you narrow down the topics for your speech.
At this stage the best type of speech is to talk over how things have been so far and what you will take on for the future.
For the past you can simply gather material from your own experiences and that of fellow students.
For example has there been a standout teacher.
What real challenges have there been.
How have you all changed over the past few years. Perhaps you feel a different sense of responsibility. Maybe the way you interact with teachers has changed.
What skill set do you have now, such as good studying techniques, a more focussed approach or even study groups.
Have there been funny stories, amazing events or good teamwork amongst the students.
How have you balanced your lives. I hope you all have sports, hobbies and lots of other pursuits.
It is worthwhile pausing and celebrating the graduation day with a mention.
Then perhaps move on to take learning points, and skills into the remaining school years successfully.
Good luck.
