K1 to 12 Basic Education program as a Transformation Vehicle for Local and National Development – Elementary Speech

by Jane

Principal Jamieson, Honored Guests and Teachers of Park View Elementary School.

Congratulations Class of 2016.

I am thrilled to be here with you and honored to be sharing your special day. Graduation Day is very exciting.

I am here to talk about how your education will transform the lives of you, your community and your country. This is quite a topic to understand but it really does have the simplest of ideas behind it. Your education can give you the chance to do great things for your family, friends, community and country.

Just think of the nurse who saves a life. Think of the police officer who keeps their community safe. These people have been through the education program and used it to help their local community. That must feel amazing!

Already you will be doing some wonderful things. You are helping your family, perhaps with shopping or chores, or helping friends with their homework. There are so many things you are doing now because you have worked hard at your education.

Thanks to your teachers you have learned Math, Languages, Physical Education, Health, Geography, History, Reading and Computing. You have also learned how to learn so you can confidently go ahead to the next stage of your education. You have also been able to help with charity work. Some of you collected money, others gave your time as volunteers. What a privilege.

Just think back to the quiet, shy children who started Elementary school. Now compare who you are now after only the first few years of your education. You have developed into confident learners, skilled in your subjects. Education really has given you a lot already. In turn you have given your best. You have worked hard, kept trying, followed your teacher’s advice and helped each other.

An outstanding Class like yours really does deserve your success. I think it also entitles you to celebrate and Graduation Day is a wonderful way to do that.

Congratulations to all of you. The Class of 2016 is a talented, successful group. Well Done!

So, what lies ahead for you as you go through the rest of your schooling?

Well, why change a winning formula? As you follow the K1 to 12 educational path, simple but highly effective steps are laid out for you to guide and help you through your education. Using the magic ingredients of an educational plan, great teaching and your hard work, perseverance and helping each other you will continue to have many more successes. You will be given the chance to help your school, class and community so we can all grow and develop together. For example you can take part in charity work, try out work experiences, raise money and help your family.

Of course you are wonderful people. Remember if you work hard you can also enjoy lots of fun. I hope you stay healthy, fit and happy. Time with family and friends is so important!

You will be amazed at how much you can achieve if you follow the educational plan. Just imagine what you would love to do in the future. Dream of being a doctor, lawyer, police officer, business owner, government official, sports person, actor, ballet dancer, TV presenter or Indy Car driver, for example. Imagine confidently communicating with people all around the world. Use your dream to help you work hard and achieve many more successes. Education will help you develop into wonderful people who can give so much to others too.

This development will in time help your country too!

The future for you all is very bright. I know we will see you take your chance and flourish in the future.

Good luck when you start your new school. I wish you all the best!

I hope very much I can help you. I have a draft speech below which would benefit from the real details of the school and speaker.

For you, perhaps you have used education to gain your job, perhaps you have a requirement for education levels for new employees in your company. Anything you have that proves education is the key to success will be good.

For the graduates, you need to make the speech real for them. Relating to the real details of their school, dedicated teachers, hard work, charity work, parents fund raising, and the great position they are in after their successful time at school. You might be speaking at a school with high standards or a school which places emphasis on family involvement, for example.

The next school for the children may be a little concerning for them at this stage. You can reassure them they are very well prepared to face next year's challenges.

The Speech

Principal Jamieson, Honored Guests and Teachers of Park View Elementary School.

Congratulations Class of 2016.
I am thrilled to be here with you and honored to be sharing your special day. Graduation Day is very exciting. I remember being just where you 16 years ago and my experiences here helped shape my life for the better.
I am here to talk about how your education will transform the lives of you, your community and your country. This is quite a topic to understand but it really does have the simplest of ideas behind it. Your education can give you the chance to do great things for your family, friends, community and country. Importantly there is a great way for you to be educated all laid out for you. Just add some hard work and you will do very well. I wanted to work in the food sector and have used my education to work my way up to being a manager. I love the responsibility!

You might already have some ideas about the job you want. Just think of the fire fighter who saves a life or the police officer who keeps their community safe. These people have been through the education program and used it to help their local community. As a manager I love seeing satisfied customers and happy staff too who go home with their pay to feed their families.

Thanks to your teachers you have learned Math, Languages, Physical Education, Health, Geography, History, Reading and Computing, for example. You have also learned how to learn so you can confidently go ahead to the next stage of your education. Indeed your country has developed a whole education program to take you right through to Year 12 where you will be able to pick the best careers and colleges.

I know that education gave me everything. Not just qualifications, but also a sense of belief. I knew I could, through hard work, get a great job and be able to keep learning new skills. I go home every day after work feeling so happy about the help I have given to my patients. However I also know that you need to work hard and have fun too. I hope you stay healthy, fit and happy. Time with family and friends is so important!
What is your dream job? Do you dream about being a doctor, lawyer, police officer, business owner, government official, sports person, actor, ballet dancer, TV presenter or Indy Car driver, for example.

Thanks for getting in touch. My Tagalog is very basic so I would not be able to translate the speech with any certainty.

You could use http://imtranslator.net/translation/english/to-filipino/translation/ and make sure you check it has worked for every word effectively.

I have a speech below which can give you a start. If you want to use comments and give me as much real detail about the school, graduates and the experiences you have which will help the graduates understand what education can do for them.

Principal Weston, Honored Guests, Parents, Teachers and Graduates.
Let me congratulate the Class of 2016. Getting through Junior High is style is a great achievement.
I am extremely thrilled to be here at your celebrations. Graduation is such a major milestone in your lives. I hope Junior High is the stepping stone to your next step in the education system.
I think that education is the cornerstone of our lives. The best, although not the easiest, way to create long term sustainable improvements in your lives and the lives of your community is education and the best way to take part in it for your benefit is to be educated. You have come a long way and the benefits of completing your educational journey are amazing.
You have been a lucky Class in that the education system is improving all the time. The improved education system was designed to transformational and was put in place to develop you as people, which in turn would develop the community and the whole country. Sometimes that is hard to believe. However just imagine the determined graduate who does well in High School and opens up a huge range of possibilities for your later life. I time you will decide on your future and you will be thrilled by how much influence you have on society and your country. You may do well in enterprise, healthcare, teaching or law and help others be happier, healthier and wealthier than they would have been without you.
Perhaps now by looking back over the past few years you can understand what education has done for you. You have grown up at school with the help and guidance of the teachers, and your parents. You have taken part in a structured education program which has taught you Math, Languages, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Health, Art, and Crafts, for example. You have faced up to challenging times, learned how to persevere and also learned how to learn anything.
However it is not just what you do at school, many of you go out and volunteer with charities, help with family chores and help other family members. Already you are starting to see tangible evidence of the development of your selves. Think back to the over-awed youngster who started elementary school. Now think about the successful students you are now.
Before looking ahead let’s take a moment to celebrate your Graduation Day. Graduation is a major milestone. Today you say goodbye to Junior High and the environment you have been in the past few years. You have worked so hard and really do deserve your praise and your celebrations. Perhaps like me you like that feeling you have inside of knowing that you worked very hard and achieved something worthwhile.
The future is as bright as you want it to be. You have been given the gift of a great education and now you really can choose to work very hard in High School and do well. You can build on everything you have learned and see the wonder of a great education. You will discover so many things about the world, computing and yourselves. Help develop your community with your charity work, help your family be doing more for them and most of all work very hard to take advantage of the gift of education.
All of you will be able to develop your nation by doing college degrees and jobs that you love. Imagine what that will be like, working on something you love everyday!

Congratulations once again and good luck in the future.

Guest speaker's speech
by: Mylen

I was asked to be a guest speaker in a newly established Filipino school (two yrs old - for elementary & high school students) in a recently war torn country with the graduation theme 'Kabataang Mula K to 12 Tagapagdala ng Kaunlaran sa bansang Pilipinas', I am an administrator of one of the mission here & an accountant by profession. grateful indeed if you can help me with the speech, God bless

In Reply

I am very happy to help. Can you confirm the grade of graduates you will be speaking to.

I will try and take an approach that mentions also how tough life can be but education really can set you free to live the life you want. I can use the accountants qualification you have. Do you have any messages that you would like to put across?

Finally do you have a date for the speech?
In the meantime I have a very much first draft for elementary school. Once you confirm the details I will tidy it up.

First Draft Speech

Principal Jamieson, Honored Guests and Teachers of Park View Elementary School.

Congratulations Class of 2016.

I am thrilled to be here with you and honored to be sharing your special day. Graduation Day is very exciting. I remember my own graduation from school. Little did I know it would be the start of a great journey in education.

I am here to talk about how your education will transform the lives of you, your community and your country. This is quite a topic to understand but it really does have the simplest of ideas behind it. Your education can give you the chance to do great things for your family, friends, community and country. I decided I would love to take my skills forward and became an accountant. However my heart has always been in education. Not just education, but in bringing a solid educational process to people who really deserve a chance in life. That is why I work here, I love it!

No one needs to mention how hard the past few years have been. Your area has had its difficulties. You might even feel blessed to be alive and well. However education gives you the chance to dream of a bright future and then put in place all the steps that will get you there. Just follow the educational plan, trust your teachers and work hard. It is not too difficult to see how great things can be. You might already have some ideas about the job you want. Just think of the fire fighter who saves a life, the nurse who saves a life, the computer programmer who works for an international company or the police officer who keeps their community safe. These people have been through the education program and used it to help their local community.

Thanks to your teachers you have learned Math, Languages, Physical Education, Health, Geography, History, Reading and Computing, for example. You have also learned how to learn so you can confidently go ahead to the next stage of your education. Indeed the school uses a well developed whole education program to take you right through to Year 12 where you will be able to pick the best careers and colleges. You have also been able to help with charity work. Some of you collected money, others gave your time as volunteers. What a privilege.

I know that education gave me everything. Not just qualifications, but also a sense of belief. I knew I could, through hard work, get my qualifications and land my dream jobs. I go home every day after work feeling so happy about the help I have given. However I also know that you need to work hard and have fun too. I hope you stay healthy, fit and happy. The speech here at http://www.graduation-invitations-graduation-party.com/2016-elementary-school-graduation-speeches.html is the draft speech.
However it needs to have real detail on the experiences of the graduates, the challenges they faced, the areas they excelled at, recognition of the role of teachers and parents, the charity work they did, and anything that will help boost the impact of their achievement. Looking ahead they may be going on to a great school and they certainly are ready to make the next step.
Use your experiences to inspire and reassure them that education will make their lives exciting and fulfilling. They just need to work hard.

I will be very happy to help you complete the speech but I would need the extra detail.

K1 to 12 Basic Education program as a Transformation Vehicle for Local and National Development – Elementary Speech

Principal Jamieson, Honored Guests and Teachers of Park View Elementary School.

Congratulations Class of 2016.
I am thrilled to be here with you and honored to be sharing your special day. Graduation Day is very exciting. A few years ago I sat where you are today and never forget how exciting it was.
I am here to talk about how your education will transform the lives of you, your community and your country. This is quite a topic to understand but it really does have the simplest of ideas behind it. Your education can give you the chance to do great things for your family, friends, community and country. I know we do not have a lot of money in this area. However we have big hearts and can work harder than anyone to do well. I have done just that to make a great life for myself.

Just think of the great things you can do. Think of the police officer who keeps their community safe, or the nurse who saves a life. These people have been through the education program and used it to help their local community. That must feel amazing!
Already you will be doing some wonderful things. You are helping your family, perhaps with shopping or chores, or helping friends with their homework. There are so many things you are doing now because you have worked hard at your education.

You will be given the chance to help your school, class and community so we can all grow and develop together. For example you can take part in charity work, try out work experiences, raise money and help your family. I started to feel like a grown up when I realized just how much I could do.

Of course you are wonderful people. Remember if you work hard you can also enjoy lots of fun. I hope you stay healthy, fit and happy. Time with family and friends is so important!

I am sure you know as PTA President that you have a great chance to round up the important messages, link graduation to the graduates’ futures and one last opportunity to inspire everyone. You would want to check what the other speakers see as their main messages. However within the context of the 2016 speech topic there will be certain messages such as the importance of education.
Let me know if this one works for you.

Example Speech

My name is Jeevan Ongue and I am President of the PTA. As President of the PTA I would like to congratulate the Class of 2016 on your richly deserved graduation.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the school Principal and Teachers for their tremendous hard work and dedication to the education and development of our children. Your work is selfless and hugely beneficial for our young graduates.
I would like to thank my fellow PTA members. Behind the scenes you have all worked tirelessly to raise funds, help with field trips, hold parties and support the school. Thanks also to local businesses who gave money and supplies to help the school.
I am very proud to be involved with this school. However I think everyone on the PTA is most proud of the class of 2016. You are an impressive, positive, happy group who really are fun to spend time with.
You have heard all about the importance of education. How it has transformed our lives, and will go on to help you develop our communities and country, as well as yourselves. It is quite exciting ! You have been given the gift of education. Perhaps the most valuable thing we can do for you.
I hope all of you will continue to work hard and enjoy many more successes in your education. I know all of you will be excellent when you start your new school. You really are ready to go on to the next stage.
Thank you to everyone who has attended graduation today.
Good Luck to the class of 2016.
