Thanks for contacting me, I am of course delighted to help.

The great news is that you have excellent local knowledge of the school and you really can make a difference to the graduates. First off you are a successful former student so that in itself is inspirational.

For simplicity you can split the graduation speech into 3 parts. That would be a review of the past, a celebration of graduation and an inspiring look to the future.

For your review of the past you can talk about the amazing things the graduates have learned, how they have grown, how they have learned to work together, the excellent teaching they have had and how the local community have helped them. You can overlay you own knowledge regarding what you learned and the things that this school gave you. That can include a sense of values and community, for example. Using the speech topic you can discuss how the graduates have earned their Graduation Rites by their hard work and intelligence.

Celebrating the graduation day you can make it exciting. You may remember own much it meant to you and how much fun you had. The graduates deserve their celebrations and you can use bright and exciting language to congratulate them.

Looking ahead the graduates have earned the right to take the next steps in their educational career. You can inspire them to move ahead by reassuring them just how well prepared elementary school has made them and how exciting the future is. Again you will have your own ideas as to how well prepared they are. Use your own success to tell them how great they are. You can talk a little on what they have to look forward to such as the wonders of learning all about the world, the amazing opportunities they have to learn fabulous things in science and the arts and also the social side where they play sports and pursue their favorite hobbies. Again you can add some excellent detail here on what you did and the fun you had learning and pursuing your own interests.

The great thing about this stage is the sheer wonder of all the things they can learn and what they will do with that knowledge.

Clearly these are just some starter ideas, please use the comments to come back and add more detail, and ask for more help as you need it!
